AT THE HBSCA FARMERS’ MARKET BY ZACHARIE WEINGARTEN
As an organizer of the Humber Bay Shores Farmers’ Market, I am thrilled to invite you to join us for our eleventh season this spring. The market is located in the heart of our beautiful Humber Bay Park West and is the perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors while supporting local farmers and artisans. We are open every Saturday from May 27th to Thanksgiving and offer some of the freshest and highest quality products from around the city and nearby farms. This year in addition to our fabulous regulars, we will be adding six new vendors to our roster.
Our market boasts a wide range of products from preserves and veggies to sweets and drinks, catering to all tastes and
diets. Remember, the market is more than just a place to shop for delicious produce and goodies. It’s a place to connect with your community. You can come for a leisurely brunch, catch up with your neighbours, or simply enjoy the stunning scenery. We take pride in creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that fosters a sense of togetherness.
Last fall, we were thrilled to learn that the market won Gold in the Toronto Star’s Readers’ Choice awards for best farmers’ market. This was a tremendous honour, and it speaks to the quality of our vendors and the enthusiasm of our customers.
By shopping at the farmers’ market, you are not only supporting our local economy, but you are also reducing your
carbon footprint by choosing food that is grown and produced nearby. Come and meet the farmers who grow your food, learn about their practices and even get tips for cooking with the ingredients you purchase. It’s a chance to slow down and appreciate the bounty of our local food system.
