FARMERS’ MARKET RETURNS
TO HUMBER BAY PARK WEST

In these uncertain times, we can take
comfort in that fact that at least one
aspect of summer remains unchanged. The Humber Bay Shores Farmers’ Market is back for its ninth season May 29th! Your favourite farmers and vendors return, joined by new selec- tions of ethnic foods, baked goods, fresh from the farm produce and more.
For those of you who are new to the area, welcome! Every Saturday from late May to Thanksgiving, local farmers and artisanal producers gather from around the city and surrounding area to bring our community some of the freshest and highest quality products our area offers. From preserves and veggies to sweets and drinks, the market has
something for all tastes and diets. You can come for your weekly groceries, a leisurely brunch, or just to finally see your neighbours who have been holed up in their homes all winter, all within the backdrop of our beautiful Humber Bay Park West.
This year it’s more important than ever to keep doing all we can to keep each other safe. Under direction of the city’s public health department, we will be implementing similar precautions as last year including capacity limits, one way traffic and appropriate physical dis- tancing in all areas of the market. With so many street fairs and food festivals can- celled due to safety concerns, the farmers’ market remains a fun and safe way to
connect with the community while indulging our appetites with tasty novel- ties and new food experiences.
You can find the market in the first parking lot in Humber Bay Park West after entering from Lake Shore Boulevard. It is also easily accessible by the lovely walking and cycling trails that run along the lake.
Whether you’ve yet to visit or have been coming for years, I hope you will make visiting the market a weekly ritual this summer and fall. Looking forward to seeing you all very soon! HH
